Unfinished Music No. 1: Say Hello To The Strangeness is a collection of tracks in various stages of incompletion. I've written a lot of songs and because I've never gotten around to finishing all of them, many have remained unheard. I'm usually unhappy with some aspect of the performance, mix, or the writing itself. There are often multiple versions of songs as I've worked to complete them. Some of these songs also exist in alternate versions with co-writers, usually with different lyrics, sung by other people.
After hearing these songs in my head for years I feel like I've beat them to death but they are still new to everyone else in the world.
I've decided to start releasing these recordings as I find them backed up on hard drives. Most of these songs are years old if not decades old. I hope people will enjoy them / appreciate them for what they are.
The album cover features a photo I took at the Gum Wall in Seattle, in October 2017.
